ABOUT ANAGEM
ANAGEM music, led by singer/songwriter Megan Engelhart, began in 2017 during a season of wrestling through questions of calling and identity. The debut self-titled album “ANAGEM - ANAGEM” officially released in 2019. The songs stand as a musical testament of the trial and victory of that chapter; a transparent narrative set upon a backdrop of indie-rock energy topped by smooth vocals. This album marked the beginning of a vision to bring forth music from a God-orientated existence, underscored by the commitment to candid and honest accounts of the human experience.
Current Endeavors:
The upcoming 2025 album “Out of Exile” continues that commitment while sonically promising a new chapter. This album has undertones of R&B Soul & Gospel, along with folk nuances influenced by nearly a decade spent in the live-music-capital Austin, TX. Now rooted in Marquette MI, ANAGEM music is finding new inspiration in the vast sweeping landscapes of Northern Michigan and the interconnectedness of community found in the rural city. The coming album will be enriched by the collaboration of bandmates and contributors [ANAGEM & CO.], in order to offer a more expansive musical experience.
